Visitor's activity analysis

This type of analysis is based on thorough examination of ad events, occurred during visitor's session (new client session emerges in 15 minutes since visitor’s last activity on page containing Adgine.net code)

Basic rule for determining whether visitor’s activity is fraudulent or not consists in following - chain of activities preceding generation of ad event has to be fulfilled:

  1. Click without view does not count
  2. Visit to advertisers page without a click does not count
  3. Any type of action (under CPA  price model) without corresponding  activity which is supposed to precede an action itself (i.e. making a registration at advertisers page without a click on his creative) does not count

  4. More than one click on the same ad creative during 1 client's session does not count

Suspicious visitors' records are added to blacklist (basically every record is a combination of IP and UserAgent). Blacklist may contain 3 types of records:

  1. Ad events generated by visitors whose IP falls into interval from X to Y do not count

  2. Ad events generated by visitors whose UserAgent contains line Y do not count

  3. Ad events generated by visitors whose IP falls into interval from X to Y & whose UserAgent contains line Y do not count.

Network settings by visitors’ activity.

Network operators may set following rules for frequency analysis of visitors’ activity:

  1.   Not more than X ad events during 1 client session from visitor count
  2.   Not more than X ad events for 1 visitor during Y period count
