Targeting by visitors’ parameters - common term for delivering ads to visitor with defined characteristics: country/region/city, language, time, day, browser, platform

Geographic targeting - User’s geographic location is determined by IP-address. This way profiles’ elements targeted by country/region/city will be shown only to those user, whose IP is registered in corresponding region. This type of targeting fits for local advertising campaigns.

Targeting by language - elements of language– targeted profiles are shown to users with corresponding browser language settings. This option allows showing creative in user’s language.  However, it is better not to abuse this type of targeting by creating campaigns which consist of language-targeted profiles only. The reason is that numerous users are not aware of browser settings, quite often browser language is not user’s native.

Targeting by time of the day - elements of profiles, targeted by time of the day are shown to visitors only in selected days of the week and time of the day. This type of targeting is based on user’s local time (time zones are taken in account).

Targeting by browser/platform - elements of profiles targeted by browser/platform are shown to visitors using specific browser type (IE 4-7, Mozilla, Opera, Netscape, AOL, MSN etc.) or OS (Windows, Windows CE, Linux, MacOS, FreeBSD, etc.)
