Main goal of advertising campaign consists in passing advertising message to potentially interested segment of audience, sorted out by means of targeting. However, is there any sense in serving ads to the same visitor several times? Assume that visitor has already clicked on ad, visited advertisers’ web-site or, on the contrary, didn’t respond to advertising message, despite the fact that ads had been served maximum-expedient number of times. In both cases further display of ads for such users is ineffective. In case ads continue being served to unresponsive visitors advertisers loose money and impressions which may be served to those visitors who haven’t seen advertisment yet.
Such problem may be solved by implication of unique visitors’ settings. Within the system such settings are imposed on profile level. Unique visitors’ setttings may be imposed on each profile existing within advertising campaign. Display of advertising to unique visitors will occur on all advertsising sites according to predefined profile settings.
There are two restricting rules which may be set for profile (“Edit profile”->”Main Settings” bookmark) within advertising campaign:
- Maximum number of ad impressions per unique visitor (not more than “X” impressions of profiles’ creative per unique visitor is allowed)
- Maximum number of profiles’ creative impressions per client session (new client session emerges after 15 minutes since last activity at page containing Adgine.net code)
Example 1: Carry out campaign, advertising GoodYear and Michelen tires sale going on at advertisers’ web-site, minimizing loss of impressions.
Within advertising campaign, creatives are added to profiles. After each profile is targeted, advertiser defines maximum number of ad impressions per unique visitor. Suppose it is 2. Thus, every visitor of an ad site which contains campaigns’ creative will view them not more than two times. Some visitors will stay unresponsive to advertisment, but since they will not see the ads again advertiser saves impressions. Saved impressions may be served to those visitors who haven’t seen the ads or saw the ad once. Thus more visitors from potentially interested segment of the audience become informed about advertiser’s offer and fewer impressions are lost.
Example 2: Carry out advertising campaign, for increasing audience’s awareness of advertiser’s brand.
Within advertising campaign, creatives are added to profile/profiles. After targeting is set advertiser defines how often ad impressions have to be served in order to increase audience’s brand awareness. Suppose it’s 3.
